The Five Peaks Presented by:
2012 Race Date is Saturday, April 7th 2012.
This year's 2012 third annual Five Peaks presented by CAMP is a going off on April 7th. The new course for 2012 includes six ascents (two boot pack climbs) for a total of approximately 8,000'. The Recreation course has three ascents for a total of 4,500' of climbing. Maps may be downloaded on the Course tab of The Five Peaks Website.
All entrants receive a new 2012 COSMIC BUFF in their goodie bag, an entry in the raffle, free Upslope beer and a huge bbq meal at Kenosha Steakhouse for the awards ceremony.
In-person registration is at Mountain Outfitters and Amazing Grace in Breckenridge.
Friday packet pickup/late registration is at Mountain Outfitters from 4-7 pm. Please read News/Updates page for important updates the week prior to the race.

Race Categories: Men duo/ Women duo / Mixed duo / Vet 101- combinded ages of team members must add up to at least 101.
Required gear:
skis / skins / backpack / beacon / shovel / probe / helmet / wind layer / extra gloves / balaclava or Buff.
EVENT SCHEDULE
FRIDAY
4-7 PM: Late registration and packet pickup at Mountain Outfitters at 112 S. Ridge St.
Directions to registration: Go one block East at the Main St. stoplight, then right (south) on Ridge St. Mountain Outfitters is half a block on the left.
6-6:15 PM - Optional race meeting, course and weather update for racers.
SATURDAY
5 AM - 5:30 - Racers arrive for gear check. Note on gear: racers can leave gear at and around the starting line. We'll transport all the clothes to the finish area.
5-5:45 AM - Maggie Base Area Peak 9 - Mandatory beacon and gear check-in
5:50 AM Start area - Pre-race course briefing
6:00 AM Race Start
9:15 - 10 AM - First finishers
1 PM - Cut-off times enforced, racers still on course will not do any addtional climbs and be directed to final climb of course.
2:30 PM - Course is closed
10 AM - 5 PM - Racers collect clothes at base area of Peak 7 and take gondola to base area
1 PM-5 PM - Happy Hour / Dinner at Kenosha Steakhouse (301 S. Main St.)
5 PM- Awards and raffle at Kenosha Steakhouse
The Five Peaks includes approximately 8,000 ft. of vertical and multiple ascents in the Ten Mile Range behind and in Breckenridge Ski Resort. Eighty teams of two will skin, climb, ski and traverse Peaks 9, 8 and 7.
